Some Good Days

Since we have been discussing Flynn and his neurodiversity issues, let’s focus on some good news.

His grandmother reported that Flynn had a great time at his first Philadelphia Flyers hockey game recently. He enjoyed the game experience, highlighted by a special perk that allowed him to order food with the press of a button at his seat!

Flynn is also in rehearsal for another play through Acting Without Boundaries, the Philadelphia-area organization that offers “unique performing arts programs for people with physical disabilities.”

Not only is Flynn practicing his role, but he is also serving as the unofficial technical advisor–something right in his sweet spot.

The AWB Juniors will be producing “The Great Race: The Tale of the Chinese Zodiac.”

From the website: “Welcome to Ancient China! And the Dynasty of the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor governs the cosmos and resides in the highest part of the sky. He’s known as Mr. Heaven to you and me. Jade is a green stone and symbolizes purity and resilience. Let’s enter the world of the Jade Emperor in the Land of the Jasmine flower.”

The performance is on Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m., at the West Wike Theatre at the Agnes Irwin School.
