Internal Lockdown has been out about six weeks now, and there has been much positive feedback. One of the scariest parts of publishing is hoping that the writing doesn’t suck. One of the best parts of this process, however, has been hearing and reading flattering comments from friends and former students and former colleagues. Several have purchased multiple books as presents and had me sign them! (Wow!)
Anyway, here are some of the reviews:
The in-depth details of the characters experiences and the emotions conveyed on the pages had my heart racing. I couldn’t put the book down. Best story that I have read in years. I hope there will be others to come in the future.
A definite page-turner that gives you the visceral sensation of being there. If you are a teacher, administrator, school employee or parent of a student this book strikes at the core of our deepest fears. The questions and uncertainties addressed in this book make one realize that we may never be able to be totally prepared for the horrors of a lockdown. We can practice “scenarios” all we like, but the truth is no one knows how one will really react when a real lockdown takes place.
Everything about this book was excellent!! It was written with realism and was so suspenseful. I could hardly put the book down and 2 of the 3 days it took me to finish it I stayed up past midnight to keep reading with it being 2 am until I could bear to put it down and go to sleep last night. I sincerely hope that we never experience an incident this tragic in our schools and so wish that even one more school would never go through any attacks of any kind, but unfortunately, these are the difficult times we live in. I pray we find ways to end this kind of terror.
I really enjoyed the book Internal Lockdown. I could not put it down. It was well written. It had lots of suspense and twists and turns to the story. Can’t wait until the author comes out with another book!
I can’t say the book was enjoyable. It’s far too hair-raising for that! I can say it is a fast paced and excellent read.
Humbling.
And unexpected!
